The Scarves Go Missing

This week Paddy and myself got involved with a little stop motion animation.

As some of you may already know, at Glasgow PodcART we offer artwork with each podcast episode. This week decided to do something a little different, a stop motion animation inspired by Ross Clark & The Scarves Go Missing.

After we raided Oxfam of all their scarves we started the painstaking task of using the scarves to ‘write’ the names of the artists appearing on episode 4 of the Podcast and animated the transition from one name to the other.

Thirty Scarves, twenty cups of various caffeinated beverages and over three hundred frames of animation later, we have something which we are quite pleased with. In fact we have big project coming up in the near future that uses this technique on a far larger scale. Can’t wait

A big thanks goes out to Ross Clark and band for the use of their amazing song ‘Anthems In Clams’ hear it and more at their myspace.

We may have just started a wee competition here between us to see who can come up with the best lo-fi promo. Its a great start though! Me and Al were banging ideas of each other last night for ages. Awesome stuff, thank you soooo much!
